by Carrie Dietz Brown

Carrie Dietz Brown is a watercolor painter from Los Angeles. Her large-scale watercolor paintings often circle the themes of practice, cultivation, and home as a sanctuary.  Her work exalts the quiet, and slants the familiar. Since losing her father in 2023, her work looks for what Dylan Thomas called “the force that through the green fuse drives the flower,” and reaches towards the reconciliation of joy and misery.
